THUNDER BAY – Former Thunder Bay Chill defender has found a new home.

The Sydney, Australia native was grabbed in the fourth round of the Major League Soccer Super Draft, 9th overall, by Minnesota United.

Osmond spent three seasons in the Chill backfield, scoring once and added four assists in 40 career appearances.
He also helped lead the team to the 2017 Premier Development League championship game, which the Chill lost to the host Charlotte Eagles.

Should he make the Minnesota roster, he would join fellow former Chill defender Axel Sjoberg in the MLS. Sjoberg, a defender, plays for the Colorado Rapids.
