McCarville rink gets Tier 1 invite for Tour Challenge

Full draw expected to be unveiled later this week.

THUNDER BAY -- The Krista McCarville rink has been invited to play in the top bracket at next month's Pinty's Grand Slam of Curling Tour Challenge. 

The squad, which also includes third Kendra Lilly, second Ashley Sippala, lead Sarah Potts and fifth Jen Gates, are ranked 20th in the world, and will compete against 14 other top squads at the event, scheduled to take place at the Thunder Bay Tournament Centre starting on Nov. 6.

The full rosters of  Tier 1 invitees is expected to be released later this week by Sportsnet, the owner of the Grand Slam of Curling. After the top bracket is set, the Tier 2 invitees will be unveiled, also based on the World Curling Tour rankings. 

Exemptions will be made for local and regional teams.
