Thunderwolves start strong in win over Waterloo

THUNDER BAY – A 24-point performance from Isaiah Traylor and 34 points off the bench helped the Lakehead Thunderwolves stretch their winning streak to three.

Lakehead (4-1) won all four quarters on Friday night against the visiting Waterloo Warriors, opening an eight-point advantage after one and cruising to a 79-68 home-court win to improve to 4-1-1.

Alston Harris came off the bench to pour in 17, while Jamani Barrett added 13 for the Thunderwolves. Waterloo’s Simon Petrov matched Traylor’s total of 24 points.

The No. 12 Wolves host Laurier on Saturday night. Tip-off is 8 p.m.
