GUELPH - Police are advising people in Guelph not to leave packages out for pickup or delivery after thieves plucked blood samples from a porch.
The blood samples were left on the porch of a Yorkshire Street home on Monday, but it was discovered they had been taken before they could be collected by the company meant to pick them up.
The package contained several samples of blood, police say.
Police say leaving packages on your front porch either for pickup or delivery makes them an easy target for thieves as the holiday season approaches. Police advise making sure someone is home to receive incoming packages, or to have the packages delivered to facility for personal pickup.
