A pizza order that was not ready fast enough prompted a 'hangry' patron to call 911 in Rideau Lakes Township.

Ontario Provincial Police officers received a 911 call from a 32-year-old woman after she visited a restaurant in Elgin.

She was requesting police assistance, as her pizza order was not ready.

OPP officers arrived and found the woman and her son in their car waiting to explain her dissatisfaction with the restaurant.

Police educated her on the proper use of the 911 system.

Leeds County OPP Staff Sergeant Josh Kingsley is sending a reminder for this woman and for residents everywhere:

"For a life-threatening situation or imminent danger or crime that's in progress, that's when you call 911."
