City police believe a defunct group of gamers know as the K Z Klan is responsible for a break-in at a local business that caused $50,000 in damage.

It was yesterday when North Bay Police responded to a call at a business on Mountainview Drive in North Bay.

Someone caused damage to several vehicles both inside and outside the business by smashing windows and spray painting vehicles.

The inside of the business was also ransacked with total damage to the vehicles and business estimated at $50,000.

The vandals spray-painted “K Z“ references at several locations inside the building.

Police believe the K Z refers to the “K Z Klan”, a now-defunct group of gamers, all youths from the North Bay area.

Following the initial report, the investigation was sent to the Street Crime Unit.

A lengthy investigation resulted in the identification and arrest of three youths from the North Bay area.

All three are charged with:

  • One count of Break and Enter
  • One count Mischief Over $5,000 Dollars

They were released from custody and will appear in the North Bay courthouse on April 16.
