Sioux Lookout OPP investigate campground theft

Ontario Provincial Police are looking for suspects involved in a theft at a campground on Highway 72.

SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. – Sioux Lookout OPP are investigating a theft of fishing equipment from a campground on Highway 72.

According to a release, suspects entered the campground sometime between July 14 and 15 and used tools to removed hardware from a parked Crestliner 1859 boat.

The suspects also removed a Minn Kota I Pilot Electric Trolling Motor Serial Number WW8H2548530 valued at approximately $2,000, two GLC batteries (marine) valued at approximately $454 (no serial number available), and a Hummingbird 798 Fish Finder valued at approximately $1,500 (no serial number available).

The investigation is ongoing.

The OPP is requesting anyone with information about this incident to call Sioux Lookout Detachment at 807-737-2020 or 1-888-310-1122.
