We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Sr Technical Product Owner to develop and drive the technical part of the given product backlog. The role develops and drives the technology to enable the delivery of the product strategy of a product line. Through an agile team-based methodology, the role will be accountable for the implementation of business solutions to meet the digital strategies to ensure our gaming offerings, features and products are exceeding the needs of our customers, increase revenue and profitability and drive excellent customer experience. In this capacity, the Technical Product Owner applies deep knowledge of domain expertise, product, and journey as well as an eye on industry trends, user demands, and pain points. The role partners with Product Owners to manage and improve business operations and/or product innovation, enhancements, and new experiences across internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of release trains. .
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Director Digital Technical Solutions, you will be empowered to:
Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate the story effectively to key stakeholders and the rest of the team.
Own the end-to-end product strategy from inception and determine business value once solution enters production.
Ensure alignment of product features and stories, i.e. review, give feedback, and prioritize user stories in line with own vision.
Monitor progress of technical delivery within a lab and responsible to review, assesses, and mitigates digital technology risks and issues that may be impacting delivery of initiatives, and escalates as required
Continuously building, improve, and manage backlog with the team, ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated, and prioritized.
Ensure customer-driven design considering user pain points and usability test results, using market and industry knowledge as well as continual research, to deliver a well-positioned product.
Approve each feature and provide valuable feedback to the team.
Drive sprint and release plans together with the Product Owner and Scrum Master and organizational technology teams.
Monitor KPIs, verify against market trends, and suggest pivots to backlog.
Track progress towards OKRs and manage delays.
Exercise strong decision-making mandate from executive group to own product end-to-end.
Work with EIT resources and Technology Leads to understand risks and build modular and reusable solution.
Provide an environment that fosters collaboration, MVP mindset and progression towards change.
Facilitate shortening of development cycles and continuous improvement of delivery pipeline.
Oversee deployment readiness activities and related preparation activities including development of the technical operational readiness plan and acting as a consultant on business operational readiness
Cross Functional Relationships
The role works in close collaboration with Lab teams across the Digital business unit to share product vision and strategies and leverage knowledge and skills across teams.
Partners with EIT resources (including Squads) and external technology Vendors and Service Providers, when identifying risks, developing risk mitigation strategies and building modular and reusable solutions.
Works in close collaboration with Centers of Expertise within the Digital business unit (i.e. Digital Engineering and Operations, Marketing. Agile COE, Customer Experience and Design, Digital Transformation, Planning and Performance) when developing and sharing product vision and strategy and leveraging in-house knowledge and skills for the specific area of discipline.
Works closely with Digital Solution Architects to ensure sound delivery of technical assessments and fexible, scalable systems architecture design that meet business needs
Acts as the bridge between the development and testing teams (internal or external) and the functional product owner on labs that require software development and testing.
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
Work Experience:
Experience in Agile Development and product delivery process; experience with Technical Product Ownership, Product Management or Product Ownership experience preferred
Confidence in managing and prioritizing the technical backlog; writing detailed user stories, refining stories with experts, and having a typical ‘servant leader’ mindset when with the team
+7 (seven) years technology experience in iGaming (digital gaming), e-commerce or high transactional direct to consumer businesses (e.g. financial/banking)
Minimum three (3) years experience driving and delivering product roadmap in agile environment and/or cross functional team
Ability to manage teams of +5 members
Knowledge & Education:
Proven track record in delivering complex technical solutions
Solid knowledge of industry trends, user demands, and pain points to be able to create a high value product vision
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (minimum 8 years) work experience.
Critical Skills:
Proficient at developing and executing business plans
Strong communication skills with ability to communicate complex messages and trade-offs to tell a compelling story
Sufficient authority to make real-time decisions
Ability to influence a diverse group of SMEs and key stakeholders; strong leadership skills
Strong problem solver with ability to lead the team to push the solution and progress with a creative approach to problem solving combining the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view.
