Automotive Service Technician

Summary

Thunder Bay Auto Parts is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician (red seal) to join our team . In this role, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles and fleets, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service and quality workmanship.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively.
- Work closely with service advisors and effectively communicate customer concerns.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot vehicle issues.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers regarding their vehicle needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all Occupational Health and Safety standards and requirements.

- You must be self-disciplined, goal-oriented, able to manage your time effectively to meet time sensitive deadlines and work independently with little to no supervision.
- You must be able to follow detailed instructions and work both independently and in a team environment.
- You must have good interpersonal skills, be reliable, dependable and trustworthy.

Qualifications and Requirements

- Licensed Automotive Technician (red seal required).
- Valid drivers license (required).
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Automotive Technician.
- An energetic team player with a passion to fix it right the first time.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic welding skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- You must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check and a minimum of three successful reference checks.
- You must have your own tools.

Hourly rate of $28-$40 to start based on a 40 hour work week. The starting wage is highly negotiable and wages will be adjusted accordingly with experience and qualifications.
