Motorcycles and Mothers! $0.00

Sunday, May 11, 2025 1:15 PM - 4:00 PM

This Mother’s Day, we invite you to share a story that’s equal parts heartwarming and empowering — where motorcycles, roses, and meaningful connections come together in a beautiful tradition.

Now in its 3rd Annual ride, The Road Angels — a devoted and spirited group of women motorcyclists — are once again delivering love on two wheels to some of the most deserving and often-overlooked women in our communities: the senior mothers of Chartwell Isabella Retirement Residence.

Led by the compassionate and visionary Mandy, the Road Angels recognized a need that’s often hidden in plain sight: the quiet loneliness many mothers experience in senior living homes — especially those with families living far away, or with no visitors at all. What started as a simple act of kindness has blossomed into an annual tradition that brings joy, tears, and unforgettable moments.

🌹This year’s event takes place Sunday, May 11th. All Lady Riders Welcome!
Lady Riders will meet at Tim Hortons, 1200 Hawker Rd, at 1:15 PM for a short group ride over to the residence on Isabella Street East. Once there, they’ll gather outside to deliver fresh flowers — generously provided by Switzer Floral Design — and heartfelt wishes to the incredible women affectionately known as the "Lady Warriors."

Each rose is more than a flower — it’s a symbol that says, you are remembered, celebrated, and cherished. Last year’s event was met with overwhelming gratitude. The seniors' heartfelt thank-yous, laughter, and stories reminded everyone present that sometimes, a small act of kindness can ripple out in the most beautiful ways.

The duration of the meet will be short — just a few hours in the early afternoon — but its impact will last all year. The Road Angels are extending the invitation to other Lady Riders to join in spreading smiles and sisterhood. Donations to support the event are always welcome.

Join us! A Mother’s Day feature that celebrates this moving blend of compassion, tradition, and culture — a story that speaks to community, feminine strength, and the power of being remembered.

Warm regards,
Mandy Craig
