We’re thrilled to have been announced winners of a
2025 Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition Award.
House in the Hill won in the North America residential category with its extensive use of Italian tiles, carefully curated to enhance the overall themes running throughout the project.

Organized by Confindustria Ceramica (the Italian Association of Ceramics) and the Italian Trade Agency, projects were judged on the technical and aesthetic benefits of Italian ceramic and porcelain tile.

The North American wide selections were curated by an esteemed international jury chaired by architect Louisa Hutton (Studio Sauerbruch-Hutton, Berlin) and composed of Steve Clem (TVS studio, Atlanta), Domitilla Dardi (historian and design curator, Italy) and Luca Molinari (full professor of Theory and Architectural Design at the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Italy). The jury commented that House in the Hill“excelled in visual appeal, use of Italian tile, and overall design”.

Past winners include Studio Libeskin, Kearns Mancini Architects, Gow Hastings Architects and DUBBELDAM Architecture + Design.
