Job Title: Junior Petroleum Service Technician
Salary: $60,000 – $80,000/year
Location: Sault Ste. Marie, ON – Periodic Travel Required
About the Role:
We're looking for a mechanically inclined and motivated Junior Petroleum Service Technician to join our team. In this hands-on role, you’ll service and maintain fuel systems, POS terminals, and support construction projects for retail fuel stations. You’ll troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues, manage small projects, and work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install and maintain petroleum equipment (pumps, sensors etc.) and POS systems (e.g., Bulloch, GIR)
• Perform mechanical/electrical troubleshooting and repairs
• Assist with project management of small construction projects and seasonal maintenance
• Participate in on-call emergency rotation (approx. every 3-5 weeks)
• Complete accurate daily reports and documentation
Requirements:
• College or University Degree (Science, Engineering, and/or Project management Field or Similar)
• Proven experience in project management within the petroleum and construction industries.
• Mechanically inclined with strong problem-solving abilities, complemented by solid communication skills and computer/reporting proficiency.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work long days (up to 13 hours)
• Valid G-class license with clean abstract with a willingness to travel regularly within Northern Ontario
Assets:
• TSSA PM certifications (PM1, PM2, PM3, PMH)
• Electrical knowledge or experience
• Project management or petroleum industry experience
• AR or AZ license
