Position Overview
We are seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join our team as Carpenters/Drywallers. This role combines hands-on skills in carpentry, drywall, painting, and restoration. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, personable, and able to manage projects from start to finish while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Inspect residential and commercial properties to determine scope of work
• Perform demolition, tear-out, and site preparation
• Install, tape, and finish drywall
• Complete interior and exterior painting as required
• Install acoustic ceiling tiles and grid systems
• Conduct rough carpentry (wood/steel stud framing, drywall hanging)
• Perform finish carpentry (baseboards, casing, doors, cabinetry, trim, ceiling tiles)
• Install doors, windows, siding, and flooring (laminate, vinyl, tile)
• Collaborate with project managers, trades, and clients to complete projects
• Manage jobs from start to completion, including leading small crews
• Follow all company safety protocols and industry standards
Qualifications
• 2+ years proven experience in carpentry, drywall, painting, or restoration (general carpenter certification with the Ontario College of Trades is an asset)
• Strong knowledge of construction and restoration practices
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical documents, and basic blueprints
• Strong math, measurement, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Physically capable of performing manual labour, including lifting heavy materials
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
