Classification: Program/Service Coordinator
Salary Grade Band H- Hourly Rate Range $34.15 – $41.74

Position Objective:
Under the direction of the Dean of Post-Secondary Education, the Indigenous Teacher Education Program (ITEP) Program Site Coordinator is responsible for assisting with coordinating the community-based program at their respective site, building relationships with both community and teacher candidates, advertising and promoting the programs to prospective teachers and program instructors, preparing reports and various documents relevant to the successful running of ITEP, and providing program support as needed. The incumbent serves as a liaison between community-based stakeholders, the Dean of Post-Secondary Education, the Teaching and Learning Program Coordinator and teacher candidates to ensure the success of the program and meaningful communication. This position requires occasional travel. As a critical position supporting the growth of Kenjgewin Teg as an Indigenous Institute in Ontario, appreciation and/or practice of Kendmoowin – Anishinaabemowin miinwaa Anishnaabe bmaadziwin in teaching and learning perspectives is critical.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Education
- Minimum of three years of program coordination experience
- Program management and/or program budget planning experience
- High level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of software
- Preference given to applicants demonstrating Anishinabek traditional knowledge Kendmoowin – Anishinaabemowin miinwaa Anishnaabe bmaadziwin
- Indigenous ancestry preferred
