The Children’s Aid Society of Algoma is a child protection agency authorized under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act to promote the best interests, protection and well-being of children. Funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services, the Society provides a wide range of services including investigations of protection concerns, supports to children and families, kinship, foster care and adoption.
We are seeking individuals to fill vacancies on our volunteer Board of Directors. Board members should be willing to:
• Actively support the mission, vision and values of the Children’s Aid Society of Algoma;
• Regularly attend Board and committee meetings, prepare for Board deliberations, and provide meaningful contributions to matters of Board purview.
We are specifically seeking new members with experience in Finance, Legal, Law Enforcement and Governance.
