Take the lead in shaping sustainable forest operations across Northeast Ontario as our Regional Woodlands Operations Manager. Based in Timmins or Elk Lake, you'll oversee a skilled team and play a key role in supplying wood to multiple manufacturing facilities while driving safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship.

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee Woodlands operations teams in Timmins and Elk Lake, ensuring accountability collaboration, and professional development.
  • Support the safe, legal, and efficient harvesting and delivery of approximately 1.5 million m³ of wood to various facilities across Northeast Ontario.
  • Prepare and manage operating budgets and capital expenditures to meet performance targets.
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, lead staffing and organizational changes, and foster open communication and continuous improvement.

What You Offer

  • 10+ years in forest operations with expertise in contract negotiations; education in forestry or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong understanding of forestry regulations (Crown Forest Sustainability Act), OH&S, and experience in health and safety, operations analysis, and continuous improvement.
  • Proven leadership abilities, strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, and a commitment to safety and environmental standards.
  • Valid Ontario driver’s license, willingness to work flexible hours, and the drive to support and engage with front-line teams daily.
