Duties:
• Assists clients with activities of daily living such as feeding, lifts
and transfers, bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, and toileting.
• Provide medication reminders, in accordance with established policies
• Plans, prepares and serves meals, shops for groceries.
• Performs light housekeeping duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, and laundry
• Observes clients and their environments, reports unsafe conditions and behavioural, physical and/or cognitive changes to supervisor
• Completes and maintains related records and documentation such as visit notes
• Accompanies clients on outings such as appointments, shopping, and leisure activities
• Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle
• Current certificate in standard First-aid and CPR (BLS level)
• PSW training certificate, IE nurses, HSW, PCA, HCA or equivalent
• Police Vulnerable Sector Screen Check (VSSC)
• 2 step TB
• 2 professional references
• Ability to work independently and make decisions with the support of your team
• Must be physically and mentally fit to handle the demands of caregiving
• Must be passionate, patient, caring and committed
• Must be available weekends and some holidays
