It's a few months until the new Lakehead University Thunderwolves season, but the schedule is going to feature several teams playing at the Fort William Gardens that have never been here before.
Although it's a non-conference pre-season series, the Mount Royal Cougars from Calgary, featured in the Canada-West conference, will get things underway Sept. 19 and 20.
After several years of taking their show down the highway to play the NCAA’s University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs, this Christmas season will see that reciprocated.
The Bulldogs will be here for a pair of games on Jan. 2 and 3.
The regular season games in the OUA are highlighted by the return of the University of Western Ontario Mustangs.
The long-time rivals didn't play here last season, but they will be back at the Miles Street shrine at the end of November.
The season also has visits from Quebec powers McGill and Trois-Rivieres.
It stacks up to be another exciting season of CIS hockey.
