When Taylor Pyatt straps on the blades this fall for the New York Rangers, it will be the third team in the Empire State he has played for.
He was originally drafted by the New York Islanders, and was eventually traded to Buffalo. After spending the last three seasons with Phoenix, the now 30-year-old winger will play in front of big, hockey-mad crowds at Madison Square Garden.
He also joins Marc Staal, giving the Broadway Blueshirts double the Thunder Bay connection.
What an off-season it has been for Jordan Staal.
The day he got married Jordan learned he had been traded by Pittsburgh to Carolina. Then the Hurricanes signed him to a 10-year extension, totaling $60-million.
Look for him to flourish in Carolina. He should also get the ice-time and opportunity he deserves but obviously wasn't going to get in Pittsburgh behind Sid and Gino.
Training camp is less than two months away.
