The speculation continues as to who will make up Canada's Olympic hockey team.

Patrick Sharp should get the nod to wear the Maple Leaf based on the season he is putting together for the the Stanley Cup champion Blackhawks. Eric Staal was seen as a lock, but he has struggled at times to put points up for the Carolina Hurricanes.
He still should make the team, although the depth-chart at centre is quite long.
That may play into whether Kenora's Mike Richards of the Kings makes the squad. His defensive skills will be a major factor. Claude Giroux of Hearst could find himself on the outside.
Duncan Keith, who spent some of his minor hockey time in Fort Frances will be on the blue-line.
The jury is out on whether Marc Staal of the Rangers will make it. Jordan Staal is likely to be watching the games as a spectator.
We will be anxiously awaiting the decision early in the New Year.
