The mid-season point in the NFL sees the Atlanta Falcons the only team undefeated.

This team is very good, led by Matt Ryan who might be joining the elite quarterback class. But I don't think the Falcons can continue through with a unbeaten season. The other competition is just too good.

The Chicago Bears are once again proving that the best offence is a good defence. In the tough NFC North, Jay Cutler, Brian Urlacher and company are helping fans in the Windy City forget about the late season collapse of the White Sox.

The Vikings were rolling for a while, but Christian Ponder has been far less than adequate in the last few games leaving Minnesota in a group of teams battling in the second half for the post-season.

There is no doubt the Indianapolis Colts lucked out with the No. 1 draft pick. Rookie Andrew Luck has been getting it done and the Colts are in the wild-card hunt in the AFC.

Speaking of rookies, Tampa's Doug Martin has been lighting it up. Just this past weekend Martin was rushing for 251 yards, with three scoring runs over 45 yards in the same game.

That's the first time that has happened since 1940.

It's been good first half of the season, setting up what will be an exciting November and December.
