NFL season predictions

The new NFL season is getting underway, so it's time to make some predictions.

Now, making predictions in the NFL is about as easy as navigating your way through Memorial Avenue during rush hour – it's not.
It's because the unknown factor of injuries, play such a crucial role in the outcome.   Who would have thought at this time last year that the Colts would stumble to one of their worst seasons in franchise history?

Who would have thought that the New York Giants would have ended things by carrying off the Lombardi trophy?
So, here goes.

I don't think the Giants will repeat, and in the NFC East they may not even make the playoffs.  Look for the Detroit Lions and San Francisco 49’ers to continue where they left off last year.

Watch for the Carolina Panthers to ride the strong arm, and running of Cam Newton to a playoff spot.
In the AFC, I think the Jets will continue to disappoint and the Sanchez-Tebow combo won't work.

Maybe this will be the year the Baltimore Ravens fly high, and the Joe Flacco gets the type of recognition he deserves.

Peyton Manning will take the Denver Broncos back to respectability, if he can remain healthy.
In any event, it should be a fun fall and early winter as always.
