Crescent Mummy Dogs

A tasty alternative to the typical sugary items commonly found during Halloween!

What you will need:

10 hot dogs

1 can of refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Mustard/Ketchup (if desired)

Cheddar cheese (if desired)

Non-stick cooking spray

How to make:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Unroll dough and mold the dotted edges together to create a rectangle.
  3. Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into thin strips.
  4. If using cheese, place a strip the width of the hot dog underneath.
  5. Wrap the hot dog with the pieces of dough to create a mummy-like look. Make sure to leave an opening at the top of the hot dog for the “mummy dog’s” eyes.
  6. Spray wrapped hot dogs lightly with cooking spray and place inside of oven.
  7. Bake 13 to 17 minutes or until the dough is golden brown. Draw on the eyes with mustard dots.

White Chocolate Strawberry Ghosts

You could say the sweet treats are on the healthier side…kind of! They definitely don’t fall short of deliciousness.

What you will need:

Washed whole strawberries

White chocolate chips

Milk chocolate chips

How to make:

  1. Melt the white chocolate chips in a double broiler or microwave. In a smaller bowl, follow the same instructions for the milk chocolate chips.
  2. Wash the strawberries and fully dip in the melted white chocolate. Place the chocolate covered strawberries on a sheet of parchment paper to dry.
  3. Fill a plastic zip bag or piping bag with the milk chocolate. If you use the zip bag, cut a tiny hole in the corner to squeeze the chocolate out of the bag.
  4. Carefully place two chocolate dots on the strawberries for the ghost’s eyes and a circle below for the mouth.
