Everyone is invited to the Elizabeth Fry Society of Northwestern Ontario’s second annual fundraising event and silent auction, “An Evening with Elizabeth Fry and Friends” at the Oliver Road Community Centre on May 12th. At 7 pm.
The Elizabeth Fry Society is a non-profit charitable organization that supports and advocates for criminalized and incarcerated women.
This event will feature the talents of local artists: Lorrina Belluz, Dulcisono, and Robin Ranger.
The silent auction features donated items from some of Thunder Bay’s finest artisans and businesses.
There will also be an opportunity to view and purchase some of the unique art created by women at the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre.
This evening will be offering up some great fusion food prepared by local chef, Nikos Mantis. Copperfin Credit Union is the official sponsor of this event and 100% of the proceeds go to support the programs of our local Elizabeth Fry Society.
Tickets are $15 each and available in advance at Calico Coffeehouse or Fireweed or at the door.
