THUNDER BAY -- The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says there are two new COVID-19 cases to report over the past three days.
The health unit last week announced it would no longer report new cases on weekends, so Monday's numbers also include new cases that previously would have been reported on Saturday and Sunday.
With three new cases resolved, there are now just nine active COVID-19 cases in the District of Thunder Bay.
One of the new cases was related to travel outside of Northwestern Ontario and the other is still under investigation. There two new cases related to variants of concern reported on Monday.
Since the pandemic began, there have been 3,337 cases reported in the District of Thunder Bay, with 3,264 resolved and 64 deaths. There have been six cases reported over the past seven days.
