THUNDER BAY -- Capacity restrictions have forced the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium to indefinitely suspend ticket sales for all upcoming events.
General manager Bob Halvorsen said Wednesday's provincial announcement that sporting and concert venues would be limited to 50 per cent capacity makes it too tough to plan with any certainty.
"We cannot make most of our shows work at that level and we are also not sure how social distancing will factor into further capacity restrictions," Halvorsen said.
"Best to wait this out and see what transpires."
The decision also led to the cancellation of two planned January shows by the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra.
