THUNDER BAY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district has dropped to its lowest level since early November.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit on Monday reported two new active cases, and the resolution of 11 previously diagnosed cases.
This brings the active case count down to 14, the fewest number of cases since Nov. 8 when there were 12 cases in the district.
Both of the new cases are the result of close contact with infected individuals.
One is in the City of Thunder Bay or immediate surrounding area, and the other is in a district community.
Four district residents with COVID-19 remain in hospital, including two in the ICU.
