THUNDER BAY --- Two new COVID-19 cases reported on Thursday are related to travel outside of Northwestern Ontario.
Both cases reside in First Nations communities, the first time since July 7 that a case has been reported in a First Nations community. There have also been 10 cases announced this week, the first time since mid June that the Thunder Bay District topped double digits in a single week.
There are currently 11 active cases, with two more known cases now considered resolved, and there have been 3,370 cases since the pandemic arrived in the area in March 2020. It's the most active cases in the district since June 22, when there were 12.
