THUNDER BAY -- For a ninth straight day in the District of Thunder Bay, no new COVID-19 cases were confirmed.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit has not announced a new case since July 7.
There is still one active COVID-19 case in the district. There have been 3,340 since the pandemic began.
The health unit does not report new cases on weekends, so the next update will be on Monday.
Friday marks the start of Step 3 of the province's reopening plan, allowing for gyms, casinos, movie theatres and indoor dining to return.
