Two individuals associated with the school have been diagnosed with COVID-19, one likely to have acquired it in the school setting.

THUNDER BAY – A COVID-19 outbreak has been declared at St. Elizabeth School.

Two individuals associated with the school have been identified with COVID-19 and at least one is likely to have acquired the virus in the school setting, according to a release issued on Thursday by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

Any close contacts, high- or low-risk, have been contacted by public health officials and impacted classes and cohorts have been dismissed.

Students and teachers began the Christmas break on Monday.

Additional measures will be taken if deemed necessary.
