Zero active COVID cases in Northwestern Health Unit area

All 1,092 cases that have been reported since the pandemic started are now considered to be resolved.

KENORA, Ont. - There are no active COVID-19 cases in the Northwestern Health Unit's catchment area. 

The health unit on Monday said it has not received any positive results since Friday, the last day they reported COVID-19 update in the region. 

Since the pandemic began, there have been 1,092 COVID-19 cases, with all 1,092 now considered resolved. 

The health unit recommends everyone living in the district, including those who are fully vaccinated, to still partake in preventative measures, including wearing a mask in enclosed public spaces or when physical distancing is not possible.
