The Valhalla Inn, a fixture in the Thunder Bay community, was built in 1981 by developer Edmund Peachy. Not satisfied with traditional hotel styles, Peachy drew inspiration from northern Europe with the rustic modern Scandinavian influence. With one of the largest Finnish communities outside of Europe, the aesthetic Peachy sought to portray proudly lives on today.
