THUNDER BAY – The Dream Land on the Bay event held earlier this week at Goods and Co Market lived up to its billing, helping to make kids' dreams come true in more ways than one.

During a Christmas market in the north core, families were able to take photos and hang out with favourite movie characters, while all monetary donations went to support pediatric services at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre and the George Jeffrey Children’s Centre.

Event organizer Oliva Moore said the event was meant to create memories that would last a lifetime.

"Dreamland on the Bay became an event by another nurse and myself who felt strongly about giving back to the pediatric wing at TBRHSC and the George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation," she said. "Many kids know Disney characters, and it’s so hard to travel."

Families were able to purchase physical and digital prints from the event and received goodie bags.

Moore called Goods and Co. the perfect setting for the magical holiday event.

Donations can still be accepted through their GoFundMe link.
