The role of Marketing Coordinator is to work as part of a very creative team to maintain, create and execute all elements of Marketing and Promotional projects for Radio, Television, Print and online. This highly outgoing, motivated and organized Marketing/ Promotion Coordinator must work closely with the Department Supervisor as well as the Director of Marketing, Promotions and Web operations to ensure that he/she is apprised and up to date with all ongoing elements of the work and that documentation is complete and files are maintained and readily accessible. The Marketing/Sales Promotion Coordinator must be proficient with basic computer software, Social media and possess valid G drivers licence and be available to work flexible hours for special promotions or events. Background in Marketing and Promotions is required.
Position Description
- Report to the Promotions supervisor for day to day initiatives and then ultimately the Director of Marketing, Promotions and Web Operations
- To assist in the creation and implementation of Marketing and Promotion initiatives for Radio, Television, Print and Online
- To assist in securing prizing for on air contesting
- Booking and billing of all Marketing and Promotion packages as required
- To ensure that the details of Marketing and Promotion initiatives are professionally implemented
- To assist the Sales Promotion team in the development and execution of promotions and creative ideas
- Prepare and distribute project information including bookings to production, contact with PDs, sales, traffic, and programming departments and other departments as required based on custom promotions
- To maintain Marketing and Promotion files and folders at all times (filing documentation included)
- Coordinate Marketing and Promotion interviews with announcer and sponsorship representative
- To maintain a positive and professional work manner with all departments within our organization
- To assist in the coordination and execution of client appreciation events when required or requested
- To assist or lead in Marketing Sponsorship and Sales Promotion client meetings
- To follow up on potential Marketing Sponsorship or Sales Promotion leads
- To be available to flexible Hours including in the evening and weekends as needed
- To drive company vehicles to promotions and events and maintain (cleanliness, gas etc)
- To maintain, update and facilitate Social Media tools used to support Radio, television and online initiatives
- Any other duties as required by the Marketing and Sales Promotion director
