The Practice eAdvisory Consultant provides transition support and change management to physicians in order for them to prepare, implement and use the eConnectivity initiatives supported by OntarioMD.

Key Responsibilities:


Supports the Practice Management Consultant in complex engagements for the education of physician(s) to
ensure that the initiative provides the clinic with the proper value proposition and sets realistic expectations for the engagement.
Works with the Practice Management Consultant in the hand off of physician enrollments.
Responsible for pre-implementation deliverables, to ensure the successful implementation of the eConnectivity initiative. The deliverables include:

Participates in the assessment of physician group practices to determine current workflow, existing
technologies, requirements, culture and other change management issues, and assists them in determining their own unique IT, business requirements, and objectives.
Educates physicians on industry best practices.
Develops proficiency with the EMR solutions in his/her territory to optimize the use of those EMRs Identify the needs for additional physician resources, whether directly through OntarioMD specialization resources or EMR Vendors.

Participates in change management workshops to physicians that facilitate the use of guides, tools and best
practices; attend forums, training and events as required.
Assists in developing change management presentations, templates, guides and tools.
Enhance personal change management skills related to assigned EMR Vendors, through the use of the internal
OntarioMD EMR Lab program.
Provides high-quality, cost-effective delivery of service, and develops and improves practice advisory consulting services and delivery.
Provides on-going support services for all accounts implemented in the initiative. This would include working with all physicians and parties (vendors, third party IT support contractors, and Sending and Receiving facilities) to affect solutions.
Provide on-going support for Vendor Selection and workflow support for physician groups where require basic
EMR maturity assistance in order to maintain minimum levels of EMR usage.
Provide feedback to the Account Management team of any issue that could affect physician satisfaction. Capture all physician related activities in the CRM (or other tools as required).

Knowledge & Experience Required:

University degree in Information Management (Health Sciences desired) or equivalent experience.
3 or more years’ experience in a healthcare consulting/relationship management role, particularly
information/data-gathering, analysis and problem solving.
Understanding of clinical and practice management aspects of a medical practice. Understanding of IT offerings, particularly in EMRs and how IT is applied in clinical practices. Experience implementing/training includes EMRs, billing and scheduling.
Ability to develop an understanding of OntarioMD`s change management offerings, capabilities and value proposition in order to market it and help users find the right services and change management supports. Outstanding customer service ethic and knowledge of account management requirements.
Effective communication skills including highly competent presentation skills, and ability to understand and communicate complex data and technology issues.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, conflict management and an understanding clinical needs, able to use own initiative; attention to detail.
Excellent time management. Ability to cope with conflicting demands and to prioritize tasks.
Excellent problem solving skills required for the triage, documentation and management of physician service issues.
Must have valid drivers license accepted by Ontario and ability to travel throughout the LHIN geographical area. Must reside in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
