To the editor:
I would like to comment on the article “Into The Groove” dated, Wednesday, June 15, 2010 on tbnewswatch.com.
Although I do think it’s an excellent opportunity for local musicians to get exposure, this opportunity is limited to a select few.
As a result, we are subjected to the same acts year after year. To add further insult to injury, some of these acts will play under different names by slightly arranging their member line-ups.
I can assure you, these 23 acts are not the best musicians this region has to offer. There are so many other talented musicians in our city.
With this in mind, I believe this event would be a whole lot better if they allowed these talented acts to take to the stage, giving more variety to this summer program.
