How is it that our government bails out Buchanan and gives them some $35 million to re-open a mill and does not force him to payout those unionized workers?

There is something drastically wrong with this whole scenario.  Buchanan gets to keep not only the severance packages, but also the pension funds owing to these workers, and Buchanan is his own creditor.

Where are our government representatives in all this?  I thought we paid their wages, not Buchanan. Who controls who?

And where is the union in all of this?  In my opinion, obviously there must have been some underhanded dealings, otherwise why have they not been there to stand up for the workers who pay dues for their protection?

In my opinion, they certainly have not shown any leadership, that is obvious, when they didn’t even show up to represent the workers at the first creditors meeting.

Imagine Grant Thornton, who represents Buchanan, is going to try to get the employees a whole $3,000. Why are they not getting the $11 million plus that is owed to some 600 unionized employees.  Take it from the $35 million they gave Buchanan.

In my opinion, I find this to be totally disgusting, how the backbone of our country is allowed to be treated, and only the rich get richer and the government representatives line their pockets.

Don’t you find it interesting that Buchanan’s lawyer is running for the Liberal Party?
