$1-million lottery ticket sold in Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY -- Someone in Thunder Bay may have given themselves -- or someone else -- a million-dollar Christmas present.

Officials with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation say one of seven $1-million jackpot tickets in Friday night's Lotto Max draw was purchased in Thunder Bay. Other tickets were sold in Cornwall, Mississauga, Oakville, Toronto and the Woodbridge area. Three Maxmillions tickets worth $500,000 were also sold, including two in London and one in Richmond HIll.

A Maxmillions ticket worth $333,333 was sold in Newmarket.

The $60-million winning ticket was purchased in Quebec. Next Friday's estimated jackpot is $26 million.
