$100,000 Encore ticket sold in Thunder Bay area

Online buyer won Lotto Max's $60-million jackpot, the ticket purchased somewhere in Ontario.

THUNDER BAY – An Encore ticket worth $100,000 was purchased in the Thunder Bay area.

According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation, it was one of two $100,000 prizes won in Ontario in Tuesday night’s Lotto Max draw. The other was sold in Whitby, Ont.

A $1 million Encore prize was sold in Oakville, while three $1-million Maxmillions prizes were sold in each of Hamilton, Bowmanville and Chatham-Kent County.

The $60-million grand prize was also sold in Ontario, via OLG.ca.

An email will be sent to the lucky winner confirming the prize win.

Friday’s Lotto Max jackpot will be $17 million.
