One of the suspects, 31-year-old Omar Raashan Dewdney, previously was arrested for human trafficking and shooting at police in the Greater Toronto Area.

THUNDER BAY – A southern Ontario man with history of shooting at police and human trafficking was one of two men charged with being in possession of more than 1.3 kilograms of cocaine.

Police say 31-year-old Omar Raashan Dewdney was taken into custody on Wednesday in the 800 block of Fort William Road.

Twenty-year-old Keima Ahliya Davis was also arrested and charged.

In a release issued on Thursday, police said they also seized about 9.3 grams of a powdered substance believed to be fentanyl.

They estimated the drugs have a street value in the neighbourhood of $135,000.

Dewdney was also charged with breach of probation.

Both men have been remanded into custody.
