14 new COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay area

Ten of the cases are connected to the district jail outbreak.

THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health unit reports 14 new COVID-19 cases in the city or immediate surrounding area.

Ten of the cases are connected to the ongoing outbreak at the Thunder Bay District Jail.

Three others are listed as close contacts with previously-identified cases, while one has no known source of exposure.

Fourteen cases have been resolved since Sunday, leaving the number of active cases in the city and district at 143, the same as on Sunday.

One person is receiving treatment in hospital.

Across Ontario, 1,969 new cases are reported Monday.
