THUNDER BAY — The Thunder Bay District Health Unit reports 14 new COVID-19 cases.
The new cases reported Monday brought the active case count to 25, two more than what was reported on Friday.
This is the highest since June 18, 2021 when there were 29 cases.
Twelve previously diagnosed cases were resolved over the weekend.
The last time the TBDHU reported more than 14 new cases was on June 5, 2021 when 16 cases were confirmed.
Among the cases disclosed Monday, seven are in the City of Thunder Bay or surrounding townships, and seven are in First Nation communities.
Six cases are the result of close contact, while eight have no known exposure source.
Two patients are currently receiving treatment in hospital for COVID-19.
