THUNDER BAY — Only one person is receiving treatment in hospital, but the Thunder Bay district recorded 14 new COVID-19 cases as of Wednesday morning.
In the preceding 24 hours, 11 previously diagnosed cases were resolved.
This left the active case count at 94, three more than on Tuesday.
Eleven of the new cases involve residents of the city or surrounding townships, two are in district communities, and one is in a First Nation.
Ten cases are the result of close contact with other people who had the COVID-19 virus.
So far this year, the District of Thunder Bay has recorded 3,012 cases.
