DORION — A resident of South Porcupine, Ont., died Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 11/17 at Dorion, east of Thunder Bay.
Ontario Provincial Police identified the victim as Haydn Charbonneau. 18.
Police said two pickup trucks collided at about 5 p.m.near the Dorion Loop Road.
Charbonneau, who was driving one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Other people had to be extricated from the vehicles, and two individuals were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.
The highway was closed for several hours.
OPP continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
Responding emergency services also included the Dorion/Hurkett Volunteer Fire Department, neighbouring fire services, and Superior North EMS.
