THUNDER BAY — Thunder Bay police have arrested and charged a 24-year-old man for robbing the same location several times this week.

Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of May Street North shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday following a report of a robbery.

Within five minutes of receiving the call, the police located the man who matched the suspect’s description and arrested him after he briefly attempted to run from officers.

As a result of the investigation, evidence was found that the same man was involved in a total of four incidents at the same location between Tuesday and Thursday.

The man was charged with three counts of robbery and a count of theft under $5,000.

He remains in custody with a future court appearance date.

It is Newswatch policy not to name people facing criminal accusations when we are unlikely to follow the case to its conclusion in the courts.
