25-year-old man found unresponsive dies in hospital

A 25-year-old man has died in hospital after being found unresponsive on the pathway running parallel to Highway 11/17 north of Dawson Road just after midnight June 25.

THUNDER BAY -- A 25-year-old man found unresponsive behind the Landmark Inn Sunday died in hospital on Monday.

Police, in a release issued Tuesday afternoon, said Marlan Patrick Chookomolin died in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Monday night after he was taken off life support.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted in Toronto on Wednesday, June 28.

Investigators are still conducting interviews and securing video to try to trace Chookomolin's activities for the afternoon and evening of Saturday, June 24.

A photo is now being released to the public asking for information from anyone who may have seen Chookomolin on Saturday.
