Construction crews have been working around the clock making improvements to the many public schools throughout the system.

Project Manager Randy Haber says $6 million is being spent this year to upgrade school facilities. One project includes the renovation of four new state of the art science labs at Westgate High School and new smartboards, which are LCD projection screens, have also been installed.

Westgate High School principal, Linda Karlstedt, said she couldn't be happier with the improvements. She added that she is excited to hear what the students think of the new and improved facility.

Students head back to school on Sept. 7.
