COVID-19 Update

THUNDER BAY -- An update from the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre shows COVID-19 occupancy at the hospital fell over the Easter weekend.

There were 16 patients admitted to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre who were COVID-19 positive as of Monday. Of those, three were in the Intensive Care Unit.

That represents a slight decrease in both overall and ICU occupancy from levels reported last week.

The current medical and surgical hospital occupancy is approximately 103.9 per cent, and the ICU occupancy is 68.2 per cent, the hospital reported.

Note: An earlier version of this article included incorrect numbers for COVID-19 occupancy at the hospital. TBnewswatch apologizes for the error.
