THUNDER BAY - A woman facing charges of assault with a weapon will appear back in court on Friday to potentially secure a date for a bail hearing.

Larissa Mary Jacob, 25, appeared briefly in a Thunder Bay courtroom on Thursday, July 2, and was remanded at the request of her counsel to return back to court on Friday.

Jacob was arrested by Thunder Bay police following an altercation on the city’s south side on June 25.

A previous news release from Thunder Bay police stated officers were called to a residential address in the 200-block of Cumming Street just after 9 p.m. following reports of an assault that had just occurred. Officers located a male victim with non-life threatening injuries from an assault involving a weapon.

Jacob was located by police and charged with assault with a weapon, failing to comply with a judicial release and breach of probation.

Her next court date is Friday, July 3.
