Ronald Albert Mitchell, 26, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Wesley Hallam, who was found decapitated last Tuesday by Sault Ste. Marie police.

Police have not officially releases Hallam’s name, pending an autopsy, though it’s being widely reported by a number of local and national news agencies. Hallam, with a string of robberies to his name, was well known to Sault law enforcement.

The investigation continues.
