Murder charges have been laid against a Sault Ste. Marie man arrested in Thunder Bay on Monday morning.
Ronald Albert Mitchell, 26, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 28-year-old Wesley Hallam, who was found decapitated last Tuesday by Sault Ste. Marie police.
A release issued in Sault Ste. Marie by police there says Mitchell is in custody and arrangements were being made to transport him back to the city.
Police have not officially releases Hallam’s name, pending an autopsy, though it’s being widely reported by a number of local and national news agencies. Hallam, with a string of robberies to his name, was well known to Sault law enforcement.
The investigation continues.
